I only know a bit about currency, so I'm sure there are those that can answer more specifically.

You are basically paying $50 over face value. Most of these notes have been well used and would barely qualify as collectable as far as grades are concerned.

So is it worth $50 to have these in your collection? If you like them, I would think so. Even if they are not high grade it's a pretty neat batch for a very small downside since, at worst, you could spend them.

I love the 'old' look of those bills. Not sure about paying a premium, but I certainly keep any I get.

You would be able to make a profit if you got them for 145. People would pay you 20 to 30 for the 34 silver 5's and the 28 5's are like 10 bucks so. Do what you want but I personally would go for it at 150 or less.

I am generally against buying bulk lots of common older notes in well circulated grades. The profit potential here, even at say $140, is tiny - not to mention the time and effort involved. Pass.

At 43% over face, I'm not sure if it's a good deal or not..

When I sold my currency collection 18 years ago, I had a hard time trying to get 10% over face for the post 1928 Silver Certificates & Legal Tender Notes (many A/U - C/U) and decided to spend them..

I do not buy any notes or coins. All of my notes coins were found in circulation. That may not be right for everyone but that's just how I roll.
