I went to the bank and got$50 in pennies. I found 9 1943 wheat pennies within the first four rolls. Unfortunately all of them stuck to a magnet but what are the odds of finding so many so close together. I'm now fired up to hunt even harder.

Wow! Tremendous find! Congratulations. I've only found 1 in 200,000+ cents this year. Also, it looks like some of your have mint marks. Very nice.

Adding these makes number 10. I can't express how excited I am right now.

I meant to ask, I know these aren't the ones with the big payout but does anyone know what they're worth?

No more then 8 cents each in that condition. I would think 3-6 cents. John1

Very nice find! Probably only worth about a nickle in that condition but still neat to find them.

Cool find. I had my 3 given to me when I was 16. I have not found one yet. FYI that was in 1982.

Usually things like this happen at the end of a year. People start dumping jars, cans, boxes of coins in a bank for extra money for presents.

I try to do my part by spending a few "steelies" out of a roll of better condition cents I bought a while back. In addition to messing with the cashiers I get the satisfaction or knowing they might be found by a dedicated roll-hunter out there. Maybe even one of us!

wow!
Congrats on the score!
Would you be interested in parting with any?
Between my books, and a friends books I am looking for: 1943 x2 1943S x1 1943* x1
* = one of my friends books is presumably old enough that it doesn't differentiate between mint marks - it just has one spot per year!?!
(if you or anyone here is interested in helping me with my frineds and my Lincoln collections I have a link in my sig to direct you to my "want" list.)
