Colin!

Kennedy half dollars are still made for collectors.

Mint sets and proof sets as well as silver proof sets.

Sometimes these make it into circulation for various reasons.

Sounds like you have a Kennedy half dollar with a Lincoln counterstamp, or a Lincoln Cent with a Kennedy counterstamp. These are create outside of the mint, but have value as a curiosity or to counterstamp collectors.

It's a Lincoln Cent with a Kennedy counterstamp.

What are you hoping to know about it?

Only a very few people collect these common counterstamps.

Value, at the very most, might be $1. But you can find such in dealers junk bins for a quarter.

I have 50 1983 cent coins "pennies" with the outline of all 50 states counter stamped on them, bought them real cheap a few years ago. Also I have about 10 or so with Kennedy counter stamped on them. I didn't buy them to flip for a profit, I just think they were a neat addition to my Lincoln collection.

It's a well-known novelty coin, usually sold with a card listing "10 Amazing Coincidences" between Lincoln and JFK (e.g., both presidents' last names have 7 letters and
both assassins' full names have 15 letters) that implies that the two men are linked supranaturally.
