i was fortunate enough to get this put aside for me..i will have it in hand after the holidays. I personally think I got a very good deal for this well crafted love token. I've never seen another on a silver dollar and even cooler, you can tell by the one year type obverse that it is a 1935 dollar. I figured i'd share this beauty and ask for opinions of value since I am no expert and have never had a great interest in love tokens. there is a ring soldered to the top for suspension but it is well done and not sloppy. Feel free to call me Will.

Pretty cool@ Dollarman . Hardly ever see a Canadian Silver Dollar Love Token . Was a lot of money to mess up back in the day. As an idea you never see a Nice Morgan dollar Love Token of GOOD workmanship for less than 125 to 150 USD. We sold an engraved 1950 Silver Dollar screw together box ( engraved to a Nova Scotia Military officer ) years ago for 200.00 Canadian.

Gosh, that is nice. I've always sold all the love tokens I've found, but seeing so many neat examples might make me keep a few next time I find any.
This one really is outstanding.

@moxking thanks! I've never paid much attention to them either..the more you look at them and think about their history the more you wanna enjoy them and get more though..especially really intricate, well done examples. it's art.

I don't collect these but I find them very interesting.
Also, I like the old enameled coins too.

Maybe the hallmark is H or HV.

Love tokens normally have the person's initials on there, but I see nothing there in the design except maybe an "H". It was great engraving though.

I am usually Not a Fan of defaced coins But this piece is skilfully crafted and is vary easy on the eyes, Very Nice indeed The way the elegant "H" and the "V" is intertwined works rather well .

@trout thanks it is quite easy on the eyes eh? I love the engraving on it, whoever did this had some serious skill..too bad I don't have the history behind it, instead I have the mystery which can be just as good.
