Hey all,

Is this the 1938-d/s Buffalo nickel under FS-515? There is only one at PCGS and no images so I am not 100% sure. Thoughts and grade?

To me it appears as a fading side scratch. The die scratches fade quicker in the fields, but remain visible near devices. I see not evidence of a 'S' mint mark punch. The punching would leave a stronger raised area on the mint mark area.

Hey Guys, I was thinking it might be this one. http://www.varietyvista.com/03%20Bu...8DOMM005.htm To me it looks like the interior left side of the mint mark has some repunch plus I think the mark I have an arrow pointing to looks like its in the right place. Could it be the one in the link above, or do you think its too hard to tell?

From a grading standpoint, I'd venture a 65 - still a very common coin at that level.

I don't see anything of interest on this coin, other than a nice mid to upper level MS.
