This is completely new to me. I haven't seen anything like this on any of the coins I searched thus far. So I'm leaving it to the experts! As the title states these lines run across the field but do not run across any device. Thanks for looking and any advice is appreciated!

If the lines are raised above the field surface, which appears to be true, it might be line damage to the die itself.

Or gouges/heavy die scratches.

Well the devices are incuse on the die, so If you were polishing the fields, youd have to dig a bit to hit the devices. I think coop has a file

Here is an example what could cause feeder finger die scrapes:

This is a simulation, but as you can see on the image of the die, the fields are the outside part of the die. The devices are deeper into the die. Thus when something is disturbed on the fields, (the outside face of the die, you will see them flow and disappear behind devices and sometimes re-appear again.

On your coin the lines don't re-appear because they were shorter. Hope this helps.
