Brand new member here, which is probably apparent, since I have posted this question in the wrong place. I was a collector many years ago, but I am liquidating my old collection, and came across a token I cannot identify. I have labeled it a shooting token, because on one side appears a couple of rifles crossed over what appears to be a target, along with the words "Schutzen Park Balto." Google translate says the words Schutzen Park mean protected parking, which doesn't make sense, considering the images on the token. On the reverse is the number 10, surrounded by a wreath. Anyone know what I have here?

Thanks.

Charlie

Amida definitely hooked you up with a great resource.

I would have never guessed that as a 1880's period token.

Welcome to the CCF.

The pictorial on this late 19th century token says a lot. Cool piece, it is. Many skilled gunsmiths emigrated here from Germany back then, 1800's, and counterstamped coins.
