does any one know the best way to find out the value and potentially sell these coins also I am sorry I have not sent better pics ill send them tomorrow when my brother can help me I am not good with computes
The opposite sides also would be a great help. I can tell it the plating changes color slowly or not. A closer image would be extremely helpful. Try using a magnifier to help us a bit more.
The cent is struck on a partially plated cent due to pre-strike damage. Otherwise you could describe it as being struck on a damaged planchet. The error itself isn't that impressive, but the host coin is.
While errors of this date are relatively uncommon, there seem to be quite a few minor errors like this. I have seen maybe 5 shield cents with similar issues sell on ebay; unfortunately I don't remember what they sold for. Your best bet will be to list it on ebay with an accurate title, in the correct category, to get the best price.
for some reason I cant find anything online similar to my coin also I ordered a coin magnifier so I can look at it more carefully and post a better picture of the cent again everyone thanks for all the info this site has been a major help theirs also so mush information its great.
