Behind his head and on his head is a liner trail gas bubble. Not an error but a plating issue.

My first thought was what Fuzzy suggested: a deep die "scratch" or gouge. If it's a plating blister, that should be testable. See if it is penetrable by a small blunt ended probe or even a pin. Of course this method may destroy the effect.

Either way, interesting!

Well that means that the two lines that this penny has are not something interesting... then it means that I still haven't found something that is good enough for my interest to continue on the path of the coin search

even plating issues are interesting, there are many. I find everything about coins interesting so keep at it, and along the way you will learn a great deal from these folks on this forum, I know I have

It is called a Linear Plating Bubble. I've found a coin once that had it across the Memorial and the fields. They look neat until you realize what they are.

They flatten with a toothpick. Worth what it says on the back of the coin.
