I really need help on figuring this one out. I do not know what caused the line in the first bay of the memorial. All help appreciated.

Looks like they are an issue with split plating. The strike pressure was too high and after the strike, the movement of the die split the plating. When you look at that area, you see gray. That is the zinc underneath showing.

I think that is just the reflection from my microscope light. Here is another with the light off and a more natural side light. But you are probably right.

Why doesn't split plating split right next to the column Coop?
