Numismatic literature dealer Fred Lake passed away late Christmas evening. Fred has been sick for some time and recently shut down his auction business. Fred's auctions were always a great place to find fresh material and often at very fair prices. He was a kind hearted and very knowledgable dealer for many years. He will be missed by many.

Very sad news!

Quite a few of the books on the shelves behind me came from Fred's auctions. I will definitely miss receiving his simple but effective auction catalogs in the mail. Each had a diverse mix of interesting titles - truly something for everyone! I found one or more titles to bid on in just about everyone of his auctions!
