Nice coins. Don't really have experience grading these so I will watch the experts weigh in.

Both appear to be MS ....
Do not let the chatter marks on the obverse portrait cheek concern you from a grade perspective .... this coin is known for not fully striking up and those marks are from the original planchet, not wear or bag hits.
It's a true numismatic challenge to find a BTW that is fully struck and without those cheek chatter marks.

1947-S - Full unbroken luster, no hints of rub on high points, mint state. MS-64. No hint of cleaning or dipping.
1947 - Same, except MS-65.

MS63 for both coins. Some slight scuffing on his cheeks on both coins. In this grade, would expect the see the reverse fields of these coins completely un marked, as it the case here. The reason for this is that the lettering provides a very large number of high points, all of exactly the same height, thus protecting the reverse fields. Would need to examine for scuffing of the individual letters on the reverse with a better than a 10x loupe. That is not the approach used by the TPG'ers. Their industry standard approach is to use a 10x loupe only, in their examination.
