What caught my attention was it looked like smaller letters or dots inside "GOD"; then it appeared there were small traces of something going on with other letters and last "5" in date. Any concerns with this '55?

Probably worn die ( DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling)

That die saw a lot of use before it struck this coin. I can definitely see why you would ask.
