This is not the big DDO for that year. It looks like a normal common one from that year. A lot of the cents during the 1968-1972 years had the machine damage on the devices. But to me this coin is not showing hub doubling. It should look like this:

I think the numbers for this die is quite low in number. Probably close to less than 50 known examples. The numbers are slightly climbing though. 20,000 would be a huge number though.

I think there were most likely a lot of these minted, but over the years they have been lost in circulation like so many other cents and there are most likely a few uncirculated ones sitting in a bank vault or someone's closet right now.
I am still looking for one .
