I am no hater of Morgan dollars. But there are just so darn many of them.
There is not another 19th century large silver coin in the whole wide numismatic world with such a proliferation of high grade specimens available.
And the brighter they are, the harder they are to photograph.

1878 is one of the most common dates for these cents because of the vast amount that were made (53,900,000—the highest mintage until 1941). I have four from this specific date because... well, I might have a problem.
