Bought this coin for the toning. Absolutely stunning in hand.
The scratch behind the head is on the flip.

Old 2 digit embossed holder

Thanks for looking!

I'd think ICCS gave this a MS65 red. More of a RB to me, but I know ICCS marked this red for sure. Nice coin! really sharp strike

Ms64-65 rb. Can't tell if it's a die crack or a scratch or what on the reverse.

Obverse looks like a CDN gold $10 !

Have to be really picky to find faults with this one.

Small dig and scratch behind head, but they could be on the plastic. Reverse scratch could be on the plastic also; if it is, then
MS64.

Very nice I'd give it a MS-65, hard to say what ICCS said.

Would ICCS ever give an MS 65 on a coin that is not full red? I feel this coin is a 65+ all the way.

I don't think I've ever seen an ICCS MS65 that isn't given the red designation. You could try re submitting since it won't cost you that much. Or if you want, you can try your luck at PCGS since they give out 65 and higher in RB and BN. But PCGS will be more expensive so it's a gamble

ICCS at 'red-brown' I think the highest I've seen is ms64.

At just 'brown' the highest is only ms63.

It would have to be an absolute knock-out of a coin to grade higher.

I agree. Only in recent history have I stared to see anything but red graded at 64 by ICCS.
