Those are die polishing lines. You can see it east of column #1 west of column # 12. Also on Bay 8 & 9. Bays 5 & 7 are part of the normal design for Memorial reverses:
I see the die polishing lines all over coop I'm talking about vertically across the very tops of bay 5,6 and 7 thanks again Edit: LOL yes I was talking about the horizontal lines at the top not vertical was in a fog still from the giants loss sorry
No big deal - LMC's all look like that - New die strikes show them more than worn dies!! They were included into the dies to represent 3 dimensional colums!!
Are you talking about the horizontal vertical line on the central bays? LOL Keep in mint the bays are the outside edge of the die. Contact/scratches/gouges/dent happen on that area of the die. So it maybe an issue with one of the 4 items I mentioned earlier. Note a DDR. (note the line is angled)
I see the horizontal lines Slamnbass. They remind me of the class V111 doorway nickels. They are in line in spite of crossing the column voids on the die. I'd say it looks like a DDR, but as Coop says they are at an angle. If being at an angle precludes it from being a DDR, then I agree with Coop.
