I would assume that most of them don't have to take it that far to cancel the transaction. Most at this level likely get the transaction cancelled without paying and without penalty from ebay. I depends on the $$ amount, wording in the listing, the coin, etc. For example, if it's an altered 44-D that went for $20 and is one of those ones that is extremely obvious... like someone took an hour rubbing it off with course sandpaper, then we're not going to worry about it. I message the person to let him know that his coins is not the real deal, told him about how I educate myself in learning about coins and he thanked me and took it down. CoinHuntingDrew Pillar of the Community United States 4932 Posts	Posted 01/10/2017 1:01 pm I had one I sent to a bud of mine as a joke. The one I sent was REALLY convincing. It wasn't the bright copper like so. It was an obviously plated 1943 Steel cent, but the way they did it was like no other. It had a normal circulated copper look to it, looked like your average 1945 cent that's seen light circulation, a perfect brown. Quite fooling and convincing...probably could have sold it on ebay and made $15,000+ if I wanted to. Report this Post to the Staff
