The MM location does not look correct for it to be an inverted MM, but the MM itself looks like an inverted S?

This one looks like a damaged MMS-004 mint mark punch.
Is-This-An-Inverted-1946-S-LWC?
The MMS-006 is more rounded. While it does resemble an inverted mint mark, I don't feel it is:

It helps having the images side by side to see differences.

That's about right placement for the die used. See you noticed one of the different serif variation for the era. 44 & 45 I know had 3 different ones, if I remember correctly 46 just had the two, called Ball, plain serif an small serif. What you have is ball and its the large one. Checkout the 41's, it's estimated that 10-14% are small "s" mint marks of the total made. Probably TMI, sorry.
