Couldn't really capture the true toning on this one, but it really looks cool in hand. I treated it with Verdicare which helped gave it the shine it has (a little to much). But anyway...
If you were to diffuse the light, then the glare would not be as strong. Not sure of your setup, but a curtain of a plastic grocery bag between the light source and the coin might cut the glare. The easiest way to to this? If that is not a strong enough diffuser, you could cover the hanger with with paper taped to the frame work.
I was using 2 janscos. I used I piece of parchment paper over the lights to diffuse. That has worked pretty well in the past, may need to double that. To capture the toning, I had to move the lights closer than normal which magnified the problem.
