Been on the lookout for a 1938 D in UNC that is a RED coin, and to my pleasing (a few coins pictured looked like great fits)

Regardless, been on the lookout for a good 2 months now, missed out on several coins, and then finally one this lot LOL.

Basically got a lot of 7 for the price of one. Easily $20+ apiece, maybe a bit less on some of the other ones.

Surprisingly, it's pretty difficult to find one that's a mid-grade red coin for under $20.

Pretty happy, even though I got 5 or 6 more than I really needed...regardless I probably could flip them and make more of my money back..

Maybe I'll take the money I made from flipping them and spending it on something better, like a 1912 P XF+ cent, 1912 D XF+ cent, something along those lines....basically spend it on a coin I've been looking out on for a while...
Rest in Peace

Any time you can pull of one of those kinds of buys, it helps greatly to knock off an item from the want list AND get some great "merchandise" for inventory. Congratulations.
Rest in Peace

Nice snag, really nice D mint coinhuntigdrew, wanna send me one? or do what Spence did, offer in a contest. I've seen a few in online auctions, but like you $20 or more is way more than willing or able to pay!

Do the red coins stay red, & if not what can be done to best preserve their redness?
Rest in Peace

Drew , you know I have to be the stick in the mud with this one . You bought these with reverse photos UNSEEN , the seller does not accept returns . Yes you got them at a low price .But like the saying goes, You Get What You Pay For . I hope when you have them in hand all is well .

Any update? I'd imagine there's no huge flaws with the reverses. The same seller has a 1938D MS66 NGC slabbed, so I'd guess he sent out the best and sold his rejects.
