Hello everyone,
My name is Dan. I have read these forums for a while and I love it. I live in Montreal, Quebec. I started my collection about 2 years ago after I found a little box of Canadian coins I had forgotten in my old stuff left at my parents'house in the 70's. I collect Canadian coins and tokens. Most of my collection are pennies (1858-2012) and 5 cents (1858-To Date). I also have a little more than a hundred of pre-1900 tokens. Most of these tokens are from the Colonial epoch (before 1867).

Dan, I assume that you are aware of the coin show in Montreal twice per year, called Nuphilex? The next one is in March.

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your warm welcome! discovery: I wish to be there at the RCNA Convention in Boucherville on next July. This would be my first RCNA Convention. I don't know yet if that time will be on my summer vacations. The Convention is a very short drive from home. If I am not out of town travelling, I will be there for a day (at least). SPP-Ottawa: I know a few people here on CCF who are on NumiCanada (and CoinsAndCanada as well). There are so many things to learn and to discover on these forums. I have been a looker for a while on CCF. This is just about time for me to jump in the pond. oriole: I know Nuphilex but I have never been to a coin show yet. I have no reason to miss this event unless a big major April's Fool. We have a new collectors'club in the area since last september. (Club de monnaie Laval Rive-Nord). This club has been founded by collectors who are much more active than me on trading and exchanging coins. Many of them are also members of the Boucherville's club and they attend once a while RCNA Conventions and Nuphilex shows. I have been told nice words about these events. I will be glad to meet you there. Dan |

SousNoir. I hope to be at the RCNA Boucherville Convention in July too. This will be my second RCNA Convention. Went to the one in Ottawa last year. I would gladly meet you there. Will have to keep in touch and see if the Bourcherville Convention works into your summer plans. |
