I've got this one at G6, with an old cleaning that would probably be market acceptable. Nice gouge just below GOD on the obverse. It's not worth slabbing, but I do wonder if they'd detail it for the gouge considering it's an important key date in the series.

Very unlikely that the gouge would detail that coin. It's location and direction do not immediately shout "problem" so I think you would be fine. Love those keys in any grade and this one is no exception.

I'd say G 4 because the gauge detracts a bit. ANACS candidate for sure!

I am in the G6 camp. Not quite enough solid rim to make VG for me.
Solid coin though.

G-06+ . I wanted to say at first VG-8 ,but coin has considerable wear . And the obverse gouge doesn't help it .

Close call, we have to remember this is a Denver issue though. I'd say it's MA all the way, even with the minor damage. I'll call it G-7. If it were mine, I'd spend some time looking at graded examples in the range. That will help you pin it down as to G6 or VG8.

I think there's enough wheat detail to get VG-8
