I am not sure, trails are new to me. I was searching today's change and found something interesting. The overalls do not show much, but the close up inset shows a small spike that does not look like a chip or crack to me.

Okay, I think it's a crack. It's in the field which is the highest part of the die and it's on a "corner".

That's a die gouge, maybe Feeder Finger Damage. Not a trail die.

I agree that it is Feeder Finger Damage to the die. The damage was just starting to happen to this die. It would get worse in time until the die was polished out to remove the field in that area. When looking at the area in question closely we can see the metal striations from the metal being slid over this area.

I try to not let a day pass by that I can't share something that I see on a coin. It I see it, I show what it is, even if it is minor it still caught my eye. They great image provided help me to spot them. So think for posting great images. Large ones I can edit to identify something that may have escaped another pair of eyes. But if I miss it, someone else with run with. That is just how we roll here.
