I believe this is a 2 valley torch variety, can someone confirm?

Looks like it, however I think they are much more common than has been reported. When I find a 70 or 70-D, it seems about 40% of the time, it is the two valley one. The tough one is from 69, I have yet to find any of those.

If they were BU you might keep them. Circulated ones will probably not be the ones in demand.

I will file it for my grandkids to look at when they get older it may pique their interest in coins (which may be a relic when we are all on blockchain currency). :)

It is 1969, 1970,& 1970-D that have the reverse of a proof 1968. This was normal from 1971 in business strikes and from 1968 in proofs. The 1969 was supposed to be a little more rare, but not much.
