Started going through some 1960's coins and have a few with some issues, just trying to learn about the cause. Your help is appreciated.

Just a small break on the die - very common.

Sometimes the small pieces of die will break off on different sections of the date. any time there is a piece of die missing, that part gets raised on each coin that is struck with it.
