Hey there.
I recently purchased a Dansco Roosevelt dime Album (#7125) and a Jefferson nickel Album to get my collection started.
However, I have a question.
There are a few of the coins that I may wish to purchase as graded ("slabs") to ensure authenticity.
Is there a way to add an extra page or two into these specific albums where I can keep the "slabs" with the album?
I was looking at the listing of the Dansco album page inserts, but am not sure which one would be the correct to add to these albums.
And, how many extra pages of "slabs" can you even add to these albums based on its fairly small size?
I like the idea of collecting in an album to be able to show/share, but I also may want to ensure I preserve some of the more pricey coins in slabs.
Thanks so much for your advice/ideas.
Regards,
Michael

Slabs are thick and there are no specific Dansco pages to hold them. Getting into an album could be challenging and might require upgrading to a thicker binder. I have seen people use Velcro to attach a slab to the inside back of the binder.

Of course, I prefer to crack the coin out of the slab and put in the proper hole. I understand the hesitation to do this and suggest one give it plenty of thought before going forward. I should note that any coin I freed would be lower grade; one which the slab just provides authentication and not the physical protection that a higher grade coin needs.

I cut out a piece of paper that is the size of the coin and write the grading service, grade, etc. on it. I stick the paper in the hole and keep the actual slab with the rest of my graded coins.

I would do what CoinCollector2012 says. In case you need to sell in a few years, you know? Things happen.

I've also heard of inserting pictures of the slabbed coins in the holes in the album, that way you have a "coin" in the hole, while the real deal is safe in it's slab...

I will probably do this with the key coins in my albums...

Yep, I've been down that road before. No ideal solution. Most put a "place holder" in the hole like has been said in other replies. Lighthouse makes sheets designed to hold certified cases (similar to pages that hold 2X2s). The pages fit any 3 or 4 ring binder. Then, your entire Roosevelt collection is in a Dansco album and a binder that you can keep together.

I use Whitman Classic Albums and I have added as many pages to them to keep them up to date. No room for slabs though. I break out all coins from slabs and put in Albums.
