Hello,

This is my first post here. I was Going through my coin collection the other day and I found a bunch of steel pennies. This one being the best out of all of them. From the picture it's hard to see it's shinny zinc coating but it's in over all good shape. I'd like to see what kind of grade you think it is. It is some what dirty with grime, but I don't see it as the zinc playing coming off. I ran a damp micro fiber towel over it and most of the grime came off. Also how can I preserve this coin, it's currently in a zip lock bag by its self.

Thanks,
Rob

EF details, environmental damage. The surface pitting is from oxidation.

Never wipe a Coin with anything. In this case it appears the reverse is showing the perpendicular marks associated with cleaning.

If you like this coin, there is no reason not to keep it.

With Moxking .Hard cleaning, Keep this coin until you find a respectable replacement.Or keep forever and pass down.
FYI I still have every steel cent I have found. I have a hoarding problem.

EF details. These are very inexpensive in the MS grades, it's never worth it to try and conserve one.....that's usually an exercise in futility anyway.
