Hey everyone, brand new to this forum, figured I would check it out, and see if I could learn something. I have a few coins to be reviewed, this being the first one.

2003 Illinois Quarter
Over-all it is in decent shape.

2003-Illinois-Quarter-Error-

*NOTICE: "LI" missing from "LIBERTY" resulting in "BERTY"

I am assuming this is a similar mistake as "IN GOD WE RUST" , just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this before? Thanks!

that was most likely caused by a Grease Filled Die. No added value, sorry

I appreciate the quick replies, I have another quarter which ill be posting shortly, its super shiny...almost like platinum, and it doesn't have a copper ring around the edges..also...it seems lighter than usual. Ill post pics here in a bit
Rest in Peace

to CCF. It is a Grease Filled Die,little if any premium. The super shiny one is most likely a plated coin.

That is a nice Greaser

Look forward to seeing your other coins. If you can get a weight on the shiny one that you mentioned that maybe helpful as well.

I like the Greaser! It gives the coin some character, but like the others said, little premium at all.
