Thrown in a batch of foreign coins. 18.1 grams, 34 mm. I have never seen a presidential token like this. Any ideas?

Looks like it was made in 2009 by the US Mint. I think that you have the smaller size token that retailed for $3.50. Here is a link:

I saw what looked like a D mintmark below the neck, but figured it was a stretch to assume it came from the Denver mint. Thanks.

Yes, struck by the US Mint in Denver, but not in 2009. These medals have been struck by both mints since the early 1970s, but the Denver Mint stopped in the late 1990s or early 2000s.

Since that time, the Philadelphia Mint has enhanced the dies, making the details stronger.
