Hi, so I've got around 100 indian heads and I was wondering if anyone could give me some dates to look for. They date back to 1886 by the way.

Well, looks for any 1908 or 1909s with an S on the back. Save out all 1888s and check for 8 over 7s. But other than that, you've missed the key dates by about a decade.

With respect - do a little on-line research or buy the Red Book before asking this sort of question.

If you google PCGS price guide that can give you some bearing as to the more valuable coins in a series. Don't follow the quoted prices for raw coins, as they represent retail for PCGS slabbed coins.

Don't for get RPDs (Re-Punched-Dates) ODs (Over-Dates) and MPDs (Mis-Punched-Dates) They are also found on this series.

If the Indian Head cent, bug hits your collecting spot, then by all means you should know about my buddy Rick Snow "Mr. Indian cent" he has literally written the books on them. He has a fairly inexpensive book in the Whitman RedBook Series, you might consider getting. his website also has a lot of information, and photos, plus his amazing inventory. You can do plenty of research just off his site alone. The front main page has a link to his wikipedia research database, check it out...
