Just in case anybody has noticed and was wondering...
I've been a remote employee ever since the company I was working for was purchased in 2010 and the local office was closed. So for 6+ years I have enjoyed the luxury of having my work computer right next to my home computer and could post to these forums whenever I wanted to.
Well, my company recently got purchased yet again, and the new owners just opened a brand new office in my area. Which is to say my working from home days are over and it's back to the daily commute to and from the office (where there is a strict policy against visiting unauthorized web sites on company time/equipment).
Anyway, it's no big deal, but I didn't want anybody to think I was just ignoring the community.

Sorry to hear you had to retire the bunny slippers in favor of the wingtips.

Good to hear everything is ok (although slightly less comfortable that would be nice but I wouldn't have been able to get any work done)! :)

Studies on productivity for primary computer use at home versus a work "environment" leans heavily in the direction of the bunny slippers.

The timing of the 2010 acqustion made me think we work for same employer, but my company wasn't acquired again recently, so there goes that thought. I was 100% remote for 3 years and now been 2-3 days remote for bit.. you'll be pleasantly surprised that the transition from hermit back to office isn't as hard as imagined. Good luck!

AWWWWW.... That looks JUST like my cat, Hobbes, who passed away a couple of years ago. He used to keep me company during the day by climbing on my lap. It made typing a bit of a pain, but it was worth it.
