I recently came across a Canada flag quarter, coloured. I have never seen another one in my change from circulation, so I was wonerdering if these are scarce and worth keeping?

I received one in my change last week. Gave it to my granddaughter. No extra value if they are circulated.

I have seen quite a few but what I have not seen a bunch of, are the 2015 Poppy Quarters in red. I see lots of the non coloured but very few red when I roll search. Not sure why that is. I would expect that they made as many as the flags.

They would or should be, Unc to be worth anything, any that are circulated have worn the 'red' off a bit.

@ punman, I believe you had to save them when they were issued, I have a half roll of the 'Poppys and a lot of the colored quarters, when they first came out, just saved them away.

Look at the coloured flag, there are 3 different types. There is a post on it here some where.

I have a few - all that I wanted, I am just saying that is surprises me that I don't see many red poppy quarters out there like I see the red flags.

Just a week ago I found my first red poppy(2015) roll hunting and have since found 2 more. Don't see many red flags either.

All the post-2000 commemorative quarters are very, VERY common and are not worth keeping. I have seen hundreds of the Canadian Flag quarters, with 75% of them being the non-colored variety and the remaining 25% being the colored variety.

i think that the two cited examples are just catching more peoples eye; the mint does these in the hopes that they will be hoarded and need to be replaced with subsequent years of circulation coins...
I guess it's working.
if it matters, I haven't received either in my change - not that I'm particularly worried about getting them...
A friend received a coloured poppy and asked me if it was worth anything - I explained what it was, and she decided to keep it.
