I just hit the jackpot! Went to a yardsale, man that was having it just happened to be an ex littleton employee. I bought an MS 64 set of Walking Liberty halves for $1000. Also 2 rolls of silver quarters for 20 a roll.

Great find!

You should find out if he has any other coins for sale or when he is having his next yard sale.

Wow very nice. I am not sure on the Walking Liberty halves, but you got quite a steal on the quarters. Congrats!

"Littleton" and "Deal" don't normally go together very often ! LoL ...hummmmm
"ex-employee" being the key word here I guess....
Have any of the coins been "cleaned" ?....not sure about the $1,000.00 for that part myself either....

no, these coins are perfect ms-64 coins, never cleaned. The guy told me that you would not believe the bargains that employees get. I would love to know where you guys buy your coins, if you can get a complete set of MS 64 walkers for less than 1000

Good grief! What do the 1921 P, D, and S look like? If they are MS 63-64.....Whew! Red Book says over $50 K!

1921S alone is listed at $28,000

So you got a set worth in the neighborhood of $90,000 for a measly thousand?

Please post some pictures for us to drool over.

If I'm not mistaken you are the same person who walked off with a load of silver dollars at a garage sale for less than half melt. You are one lucky guy.

Ummmmm. So there's a yard sale and there's a set of MS-64 Walkers setting on a folding table for $1000.

And of course, there is the former Littleton employee who is absolutely clueless (but makes the story believable) and has put a few rolls of silver coins out at 2x face.

When you paid, did you notice that the bills you were using were pink and bright blue and had "Parker Brothers" written in the corner.

I'm sorry, but thank you very much. This has made my night!

Now it's time to take your meds!

I highly doubt someone who is knowledgeable (ex-Littleton) would part an MS64 set of Walkers for 1k, knowing that he could go to any coin show and get 20-30-40 times that amount. I don't care who you are, you don't leave that kind of money on the table.
Even 2 rolls of silver quarters for $20 each sounds silly, knowing that there is more than $120 dollars in silver in each roll.
Something smells really fishy.

I agree, if you get all those walkers for 1000, isn't it a bit suspecting? Considering what you actually have may be worth hundreds of thousands? I mean she/he could get more than what they sold to you from a dealer or even ebay..... Very fishy.... But not to disrupt your find though, if its real...
