I'm from Oregon, and a new member. I've been sorting through old coins dated between 1919 to current. Mostly pennies. Also some foreign coins dated from 1902-1990's . Trying to separate by decade to examine better. This 2007 penny happened to fall on floor(must be a sign!) away from others. It looks like there are some errors, both front & back.
Touching A&M on back and some ghost numbers on front. Please advise. Thanks.

I know of no Wide AM variety for 2007. I think they should all be Close AM. I do not see the Ghost Numbers. Does it look like doubling?

Touching AM (CAM for Close AM) on the reverse is the standard on circulation strike memorial cents from 1993 onward. There are WAM ( Wide AM) varieties in the series in 1998-2000, with the 1999 being the most scarce, and therefore the most valuable.

Your pictures don't really show a defect on with the numbers on the obverse. If it's a slight appearance of doubling on the date and mint mark to the south east, my guess would be Die Deterioration Doubling. I come across this fairly often on cents. No premium associated with it, as far as I know.

The only wide 'AM' for 2007 is the 2007-S proof cent. The Philly ones and Denver ones all have the close 'AM'.
