Is the 1960 and 1960 D small date Lincoln Cent worth keeping?

The 1960 plain small date is the one that has a premium for them. Red books shows for a MS-65 of each the 1960 plain small date is $3.00 and the 1960-D small date is .20 Cents. So The big one to find is the plain small date. But on the plus side the D small date has several RPMs for that mint. So it depends on the coin made from which die that might make it valuable.

If in MS states I suggest you hang on to them. Those are the typical type of coins people lately are putting in a small plastic case with some writting about the 1960 vairieties of sizes or something like that. Not sure who is doing this, how them get those little plastic cases or the cardboard with the writting on them, but such things could, maybe, eventually make yours a little more than worth a few cents.

Any of them 'can' be worth hanging onto..there are a number of doubled dies and repunched mintmarks to look for on 1960 cents...

Having said that, if there's no die variety associated with the coin and it is in circulated conditon, only the P-mint small date carries any premium value. All the rest are spenders.

I find 5 or 6 per 2500. Very few of either in MS. Still a lot of fun.

A good batch of pennies keeps me going through the iffy batches. Now that it's finally warming up around here, I might give it a rest.

Thanks guys
