Nice-
Does this complete your set now.
I have a chance to pick up an ICCS MS60 that he`s
asking $1800.00 CDN for that I am debating about.
I might make an offer on it and see how it goes.

yes it does complete my set , in that I have every date of 80% silver dollar, there are a couple of varieties I am still looking for though.. and may possibly swap out some of my p.l. coins for m.s.,,when the right ones come along.

That is a great feeling. I got mine just over a year ago so I know how it feels. I had to have the house paid for and be near retirement before I felt I could afford to do it. No matter what my interest in coins will be from here on, I know it will the most expensive coin I ever buy.

JimmyD, I have tracked reputable TPG silver dollar sales on ebay for the last three years. For ebay auction, the 1948 in MS60 has averaged $1688 with shipping. I don't know about buy-it-now prices. Seeing the coin in hand is worth something so if it looks good, paying close to $1800 may not be too bad. You could always offer $1700 and see what happens. As far as my tracking went, there were only eight graded 1948 MS60s auctioned in the last three years with ebay. This coin is not exactly rare, it is just that it does not come up for sale too often.

Nice one silverwolf..

I guess that hole will always be empty for me, I have too many 'key' dates in my other sets that need to be filled first.
