Moe had mentioned that he wanted to stick with the classic section. I thought someone might start a thread for posting Franklin half dollars. I have not seen one started .. So here it is. I hope a week is enough time to get some pictures taken. Mine are more album quality coins. I am thinking some of the members have some really nice ones. Post your Franklins on the listed dates, catch up's are welcome. But don't post each year before the listed date. 1948 - Feb 10 1949 - Feb 11 1950 - Feb 12 1951 - Feb 13 1952 - Feb 14 1953 - Feb 15 1954 - Feb 16 1955 - Feb 17 1956 - Feb 18 1957 - Feb 19 1958 - Feb 20 1959 - Feb 21 1960 - Feb 22 1961 - Feb 23 1962 - Feb 24 1963 - Feb 25I think it would be nice to add a bonus day. Other Ben Franklin coin related items. Medal and Commemoratives - Feb 26Edited by GR58 02/03/2017 5:40 pm

This was one of my first sets, mostly circulated and many taken from circulation when I was a kid. I only have photographs of the proofs so far.

I could not stop myself Jbuck ...
I am thinking I like Franklin near the level you like Ike.
His biography is a good read.

Well, for what it is worth, my Franklin Dansco was the second complete album after the Eisenhower Dansco (which was first, of course). Now, I must mention that my Jefferson Dansco had the first "completed set to date." I had all the holes filled that could be filled, but the later holes were filled each year as they were minted and I found them in change. Also, I later added a page for proofs long after Ike and Ben were done.

I have recently up dated my proof set collection to 1950. Hopefully I can get some photographs of the early Franklin's.
