I am excited that I have the opportunity to get all the Presidential dollars tomorrow in BU condition at face value! Does anyone else collect them? I don't see much in the forums about them. Edited by EAS72 02/26/2017 8:45 pm

I have the whole series, and several rolls of extras plus the Willabee and Ward collectors album with the first eighteen. They stopped making any further pages after that. Also have all the proof versions from the mint sets. I collect all the dollar coins but to be honest, my main passion are the silver dollars.

I have the Dansco Presidential dollar "date set" album (7186). I did this to be minimal, no worries about mint marks. Just business strikes (all are uncirculated), no proofs. I'm caught up to 2015, I still need to get the 2016 coins (Nixon, Ford, and Reagan). Forgot to mention, I have a brand new $25 roll of George Washington dollars (2007) that has never been opened. Just hanging onto them, maybe they'll be worth something someday.

No, I spent the ones that came in my mint sets. Recouped some of the sets high cost that way.

Right, not only a potential gold mine for error coins, but there might be a couple super nice ones to be slabbed.

I collect them for my grand kids. But I still have them. The kids are busy with school & sports so I'll just hang on to these coins for a little while longer.

Quote:Anyone collect Presidential dollars? Of course ... everyone should. When you can cherry pick and put a nice set of coins together ...cheap Than what is the downside? Higher grade P and D business strikes are hard to find. If you find them at or near face, why not put them away. Satin finish coins look very good in a nice album. There are also errors, missing or double edge letters.

Nice. Cool error. It would feel like hitting the lottery if a fellow had a roll full of those Washington coins with missing edge letters.

I collect them. I hope you get a good set! I have 2 sets going. I got interested in them when my university would give them out as change for parking. My favorites are the Sacagaweas... The proofs are amazingly beautiful...

No date and no mint mark on obverse then I'm not collecting. Plain and simple.

I started to when they first came out, but two or three years into it I lost interest in the series.

EAS! I have all the mint sets and proof sets OGP but also ordered a CAPS date album for a separate set of just the proof coins. It looks nice. As always great photos and nice collection GR58!

Sold them at the local shop for $50 each. Last month he had a graded one in 67 or 68 for $20. Glad I sold them when I did.

I have the dollars that came in the regular uncirculated and proof sets as well as the presidential uncirculated and presidential proof sets. I'm working up the courage to break the dollars out of these sets to place them in an album.
