Stopped in my bank this morning and my favorite teller was all ready for me. During the week this 1934 token was discovered in a roll of quarters. She put it aside for me and it was mine at no charge. :)

She also had four rolls of customer wrapped half dollars which I was very excited to investigate. Since the bank was quiet she let me check them right there and roll them back up. It was a skunk! No silver...

The token is a 1934 VFW Christmas with reverse that says Help the Kids and wishes Good luck and health in 1935. It's a very very cool token.

Great find.

It's nice to find a token that has all the information you want on it. No guessing how old it is, etc.

Enjoy.

It's amazing how uplifting many of the tokens and celebratory medals were from that time, just after the major part of the Great Depression and not out of the woods yet by 1935.

A good coin to put in your coin album, right next to your 1935 coins!
