Nice pics of a great coin.
Wouldn't mind having a piece like that in my own collection.
I refer to my older relatives like grand parents, uncles & aunts as "The Great Ones".
I would value and cherish this as a family treasure.
If your heritage happens to be Sweden, Finland, Norway, etc that's even better.

Ah! I should have looked a bit closer, I thought it was 1940 at first glance. Yes there are two types it seems for 1910, if yours is the 1910 W initial far from date, then it could indeed be worth $300 perhaps or more. Let's wait until someone can tell you for sure which it is :)

Looks from your pix you have far "w" from date...NGC lists XF40 @ $70, MS60 @ $220. Now you wouldn't get that if you tried to sell it but let's you know rough value. Has @ 3/8 oz. silver, today's melt value is $6.79. My dad was born in 1910, was 100% 2nd gen Swedish, this sounds like something he mighta done, cool coin, keep the memories! Based upon the hair and beard w/o hardly any wear at all, grade conservatively @ AU 58+ if not full MS. your pix are a bit fuzzy to accurately grade. This had me curious, so I checked NGC's website (sorry can't paste link on tablet) suggest HIGHLY you determine which coin you have, the close or far initial from date, makes quite a bit of difference in value, and maybe a canidate for TPG grading. I can't be sure but think from what I see you may have the high$ version?  Edited by Crazyb0

This is a W close to date, which means the 'common' type. As such, it's not particularly special. It's in a very good grade though! Seems uncirculated to me. That does increase the value. I'd ignore the NGC listing: you probably won't get $100 for it when you sell it.
EDIT
I just looked it up and I have one from a year with only half the mintage of 1910 and I paid melt value plus 10% for it.
