Die Deterioration again, see the ridge around the edge. Also could be bubbling under thin plating due to heat of mint process, these aren't Cuds, seem under not upon.

Ok thanks crazybo, just learning I appreciate the knowledge . So a Cud is in essence material that actually didn't strike because of an actual piece missing from the die ?

I think it is an issue with split plating on the reverse. Note how were are seeing gray at times on this area? That is what I feel it is.

Coop Is that like lamination or a totally different issue ?

Zincolns don't laminate. I feel the strike was very strong and split the plating away from the rim. Not a good thing
