Today is the 1st day of general release for the 2017 Pysanka coin. Will the 2nd in the series coin do as well as the first. Time will tell. Price is the same at $114.95 but mintage is 1000 higher at 5000. First off the gate is from Gatewest Coins. Pysanka already on TSC for sale at issue price. Bromberg will be on shopping channel tomorrow night (Wednesday) with RCM new releases. If ordering over $150.00, insert SHIP150 for free delivery. Edited by New1954

They promised us a hot coin, we loaded up, and now the dealers sell it for issue price?  What will be possible now, the people who paid a premium on pre-sales, will just cancel the transaction (these people were aware of Pysanka, so for sure, they know were to check and when) |

Gatewest coins sent an email saying they made a listing error. The limit is 1 not 3, so they reduced everyone's order to 1.

Sorry we had to do that but had we not done it we had grossly oversold. This was the only way to ensure everyone received at least one coin.

This understandable...
the question now, will the secondary market be impacted?
From one hand, more people could get the coin, from other hand, these, who needs more then one, will search other sources to get it.

I'd lump many of the buyers today into the secondary market. We're not seeing real market demand for the coin. We're seeing mini-dealers loading their inventory.
It will be mildly interesting to see where true sales to collectors settle. Personally, the coin has no appeal but I'll be watching from the sidelines.

There was still stock at the RCM Boutique in Vancouver as of 10:30 am. Could be sold out now but give them a call first as they only had a few left. |

The Coin Shoppe sold out at $149.95.
I think these will definitely hold their value, I don't see them going below issue like other releases anytime soon.
