The sellers, who manage to sell it now for ~ CAD 200 - definitively the winners (together with ebay, PayPal ...etc, as was said on other forum), and later - it risky, although everything is possible. Amount of listings growing, with the current "Red line" on the CAD 195 with Free shipping - these listings have zero bids yet.

Quote: I hope this sells for 500 bucks but in a few weeks how can this coin be worth more than issue, with the mintage being increased and the second coin with flippers loading up. Currently there are around 40 listings on ebay. More listings will come as more people receive them. How long can the current price of around $200 be sustained when there are so many listings? When sellers out number buyers is when you see prices fall. There is definitely a demand for the coin but at what price? There are a lot of people watching the coin and but not many buying yet. It is interesting to note that about 10 coins around $200 sold in the last 2 days on ebay. That is a far cry from the 400 sold at issue price at the Shopping Channel in a few hours.

You right, MoneyPenney Many people bought the coin just to resell. Coin by itself can't be popular or successful without interest of the collectors. And I do not see it. But instead, I see the interest of army re-sellers. People learn the lessons via loss ... if this, or any and every other coin will not have a success for some period (lets say a year), it may teach RCM not mint this junk, and people not to speculate on the coins.

@MoneyPenney and Silveroid. Good insight. Re-sellers buying for potential profit which will be made in early sales. Shortly prices will start to drop due to competition. We've seen this scenario play over and over

As long as flipper can order Pysanka 2 with issue price ( CAD$115 ), he is on safe side from coin depreciation and lose money. The question is how much can he gain from Pysanka 2. I am betting RCM will release Pysanka 3 next year. lol.

Quote: @MoneyPenney and Silveroid. Good insight. I think, I over-reacted a bit. But understand both sides - people who want to earn the money this way, as well as people who looses the money paying premium. You probably right, Justsilver. RCM will not loose this opportunity. I see here place for the accessory item: nice wooden case with configurable (during ordering) inlay for different amount of Pysanka coins.

"I am betting RCM will release Pysanka 3 next year." That's a given. Also add another 1000 pieces on at $124.95 in 2018. RCM just pulled in $115,000 on P2 by the added 1,000 pieces

To break even, a flipper need to sell for between $130 and $135, depending on your level of eBay/PayPal fees. Selling at issue price of $115 means a loss. When selling around $140 to $150, you are going to make only around $10-$15. Hardly seem to worth the effort unless have a lot of the coins.

Buying ONE modern numismatic silver coin & immediately sell on ebay then expecting huge profit is unrealistic. A collector ( or flipper ) shall feel lucky if numismatic coins ( that he bought ) just break even or appreciate a little bit on secondary market.

Noticed, there are some auction style listings for 2017 Pysanka, that started from $0.99 Since the coin is popular (at least this moment), looks like that some of the auctions could end with the higher price than some of the BIN listings. Added: ebay (checking ebay.ca) constantly has bit more than 40 listings. Few listings on the Kijiji GTA area.... People reporting still finding here and there in the CPs the coin (good snowy day to hunt) For today only 3 coins listed as "sold" - the low number probably explained by people's hope to find coin for issue.

Very soft winterish day in Toronto. I remember, previous years, members used to post pictures from their far-North, where everything in the snow....
Anyway, decided to walk a bit and literally spend a time. I went over CPs, pretending myself Ukranian trying to get desired Pysanka coin. I was almost lucky! In 2 POs the stuff told me that they had one coin on display, but it was purchased. In other 3 bran hes - never had it.
Conclusion - might be late, but still possible. Nice walk + few clicks and you making a money. On the other forum, btw, someone said "a dosen" of Pysanka :)
Have a nice weekend!

I also checked 4 CP outlets yesterday.
1 CP had 3 pcs but already reserved & prepaid by a customer.
Other 3 CP never heard about Pysanka Coin.
It will be more and more difficult on Pysanka hunt from CP outlets.
Good luck........

What we have today here... 43 listings on eBay(.ca) - more or less like yesterday. Very noticeable fact: No actual "hot" movement - yesterday only 3 coins have been sold. Together with this - auctions starting with low bid - immediately got an attention - there are 50+ bids on these coins and winning bids are close to CAD 200. So the selling price is a good part here - although 200 is still "red line" for the buyers, and now they do not touch BINs over 200, this is still nice money for the seller, who got the coin for issue. We have 3 auctions ending today, and 1 really close to the end: ebay ID = 201810532676Please take a look / watch it / increase the coin value by additional bids. Added:Quote:We have 3 auctions ending today, and 1 really close to the end: ebay ID = 201810532676 Sold for CAD 187.50 onlyNot bad in general, but the seller surely hoped for more. The second coin doesn't "ignite" the same interest, as the first. Except this, seller probably didn't use friend's help to up the bids a bit.... Disappointing somehow - wanted to see higher price. **Added more: Now 46 listings (more than was on the morning) and recent listings - have a bit lower price than others. Conclusion: no friends in the sales, it just business. Make a price lower than others - and your item will be sold.
