And it only cost me $13, thanks to a free coupon code on ebay. I think if it looks nice, I'll send it in for grading at ANACS, if it has small dings, I'll use it as a pocket piece or use it as a birthday present.
I would never send bullion ASE's to be graded. Definitely not cost effective (70 grade slabs sell for around $35)
I would also never send a single coin to be graded unless it was an extremely rare early dated item
There is a 5 coin minimum for submission. To avoid this you would have to move up a tier or two and thus pay more.
I would only use ANACS if I was having a variety coin attributed (I have used them multiple times for this). NGC/PCGS cost a wee bit more but have a better resale value (in this case it's irrelevant)
My opinions...I would save it for an album or do the pocket piece thing...
