Please take a moment to check out the listings by this ebay seller: link.

I think the ones in bad condition are genuine but the others seem suspicious to me - the Mark Anthony doesn't look like the examples at Wildwinds, the sestertii are strange, and I know nothing about Greek coins.

If you confirm any them as being fake, I'd like to report them in the Counterfeit subforum, unless you do it first (which I am not against, if they are fake - the sooner they're reported the better).

The silver Greek coins are mostly if not all fake.

That Mark Antony is definitely a replica; likewise with Pupienus. The extremely high grade bronzes probably are as well.

Some of the bronzes look okay; some are iffy.

I wouldn't give this joker a single penny.

Buying authentic coins from Firefakir? What could possibly go wrong?

Isn't the posted messembria diobol one of the famous Black Sea fakes? I don't collect the series but remember reading about it and it looks like other fakes on the internet. Perhaps someone should inform ebay before the bidding gets serious.

Following your opinions, I have made a thread in the Counterfeit sub-forum about this guy. I specifically mentioned the Pupienus, which had one bid, and the Mark Antony. And it looks like those two have already been taken down.

If you'd like to make a case against some of his others listings, please do, as I said I know nothing about Greek coins and thus can't make any statement regarding them being fake.

I was kinda thinking that Bobby no longer reported fake ancients to ebay because they stopped doing anything about it. Is that true or did I imagine it maybe

Finally got a chance to check on the Black Sea counterfeits. Pretty sure he is listing one. The hallmarks of it is that the helmet looks like a face, eyelids and pupils, when it should just be a helmet. Funny thing is he has several listed with very different stylings. He just may not know what his inventory is. My understanding is a very reputable auction house was duped by these very same counterfeits. I reported to ebay.
