I am not saying the coins is. I am saying the coin LOOKS like it may of been dipped. If You look closely, You can see the area not toned that has clear finger-prints, Prints do not tone well, where it may of been held, which is clearly not toned. Just My opinion, I am NOT saying it was......... JMO....

@morgans dad - Are you suggesting that it was dipped in something that would have caused the toning but the thumb and index finger prevented toning in that one area? Because when we talk "dipping" around here, it's usually done to clean the coin. Seems like a stretch to me but I guess anything's possible.
@jim7192 - was the coin toned that way when you bought it or only after spending time in the envelope?

Cascade: that beauty is coming along nicely. Celtic: Quote: @morgans dad - Are you suggesting that it was dipped in something that would have caused the toning He means that it was dipped prior to toning and those coins usually have issues when allowed to tone after the dip. Did an experiment once and "butt ugly" doesn't cover it

Thanks fox. Its just been "sitting out" for about a year now. Can't be happier with how it's progressing. I've had a couple 2015's sitting out with it that are coming out somewhat blotchy. Not near as even and smooth as this one.
