If you look between WE & TRUST

and the 4-6 some sort of markings exist what would you call this type of error?

Could this be a doubled die variety?

Is this a common cause from a die error?

Not sure what those marks are from, but they are not related to DD.

They aren't from a doubled die. Between the 4 and 6 may be a die chip or crack.

Between WE & TRUST seems like an odd place for a chip but maybe there is a die crack from the rim that leads to it. I can't tell from the pics.

They do both look like raised metal. But, they may just be hits that moved metal up and only PMD.

I have read a couple of your posts and I'm not sure you understand what a doubled die is.
Here is a web page that explains what they are and what to look for to help you identify them: http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/doubledDies.html

I think the coin you have pictured here is damaged.
