I'd also like to share another that caught my eye today. It's in pretty decent shape 1962 Lincoln Cent but the reverse has some sort of possible PMD but could also be something else. Everything is the same tone, the markings are same tone as rest of cent.thoughts are always welcome. There is an odd marking appearing to be an "X" I included a normal pic and then one with added filters and writing for definition.was trying something new.
Sharing this as an intersti my piece everyone has been so helpful I'm learning alot thank you everyone!

I am thinking partially a Grease Filled Die. Do you also see the bottom leg of the R is mostly missing

next time, try and use the CCF Free Image Optimizer to crop away the blank surroundings in the image.

The lower place you have circled next to the memorial building is supposed to be the designer initials. I'm puzzled about the "X" though.

The area circled is above the FG. The "X" looks like damage. The full reverse shot shows what looks like a hit to that corner of the memorial. If you compare it to an undamaged cent, you'll see the same shape in the corner. Looking at the first picture in the thread, you can see where the line caused by the hit also affects the corner of the memorial northwest of the "X" corner.

Have you weighed it ? And I am very curious because that x looks like a mark or initial that you see on dimes or nickels ? I think I've seen that x on dimes very interesting to me.

Looks like it might be vending machine damage or coin wrapper damage. But I lean more towards my first solution. During that time a lot of gumballs and peanuts were purchased from the vending machines.

These marks on the coin look like they might be parallel to to rim and at the same distance.

It weighs 3.05 grams. I also pulled a better magnifying glass , all three corners look like they have been smashed by something
