Nooooooooo!, Ok, a long nock is a 7TF 1878 Morgan dollar with the arrow shaft long like the 8TF Morgans (Also known as B1 Reverse Morgans). There are VAM70 (Top 100), VAM-79 (Hot 50), VAM-80, VAM-81, VAM-82, VAM-83, and VAM-84 (and VAM-84A). You can go here and see all the attributes of each of these VAM's http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...hp?album=154

Here is another Long Nock DMPL for your Viewing Pleasure This one is a VAM-81 (as you can see by the black marker writing on the slab)

I think the Long nock issue has been explained well with the longer arrow shaft.

The DMPL stands for Deep Mirror Proof Like Finish, and there are nice examples in the replies above.

Nice coins!
